"Yesterday/Tomorrow"

He stands brave, but full of fear.
He has many visions, but none are clear.
They're like old friends from yesterday, or maybe enemies from tomorrow.
He wears a mask of happiness, but more often one of sorrow.
He's seen a future, but shudders at the thought.
Will he have to refight the battles he has fought?
Is he strong enough to make it once he is out?
Or will he return to the destructive world of self-doubt?
He has changed since stepping through prison doors,
but will he change again after stepping out once more?
Maybe he will find answers when time provides need.
After all, there are only two choices: FAIL or SUCCEED!
