Cell-Fish Thoughts ©
By T. Chris McLain

People believe in miracles
But I've always tempted fate
They say patiebce is a virtue
But I've never liked to wait
If the meek shall inherit the earth
Then I don't stand a chance
I can honestly say if I had my way
I would hear more "I cans" than "I can'ts"
The one constant in life is time
It stops for no living man
We;re each only given a little
Do the best with it that you can
Alot of my share has been wasted
For that I must blame myself
But through my mistakes I have learned what it takes
To appreciate freedom and health
The view through these bars is depressing
But it's taught me a lesson or two
This time will be used as a means to an end
From now on my mistakes will be few
For now I am here all alone
Trapped like a fish in a bowl
This cell is what I must call home
Freedom is my only goal
