"Waiting" ©
By Jeffery Campaigne

Like a flower, waiting to bloom.
Like a light bulb, in a dark room.
I'm just sitting here waiting, to go on home.
Like the desert, waiting for the rain.
Like a school kid, waiting for the spring.
I'm just waiting...
My old heart, it's been so dark, since I've been gone.
After all, this has turned me off.
And I'm just waiting to be turned back on.
My hearts fire is waiting, for a new tune.
Like a glass is waiting, for some fresh ice cubes.
I'm just waiting.
